Amos Marchant is an Industrial Designer who visited this month as a Visiting Lecturer. He runs the Amos Marchant London design studio working on product, furniture and exhibition design projects. He gave a talk about his work and career and then spent time talking to students about their own portfolios and designs.
Amos graduated from Kingston with a BA (Hons) in Furniture and Product Design and went on to gain an MA in Design Studies from Central St Martins College of Art and Design. In 2014 Amos was also appointed as a Furniture Technical Consultant to the Robin and Lucienne Day Foundation with on-going responsibility for liaising with factories and manufacturers and ensuring products are produced accurately to the original designs and to the highest production quality. The Foundation endorses and licenses only high-quality, authentic productions of Robin and Lucienne Day’s original design.
