This year’s Interior Design study trip was to Madrid, Spain. A fantastic opportunity for the students to explore the city, visit inspirational museums, galleries and buildings, develop their sketching and drawing skills and bond with each other.
The visits included some great examples of traditional and contemporary interior architecture, architecture and design, which motivated the students and facilitated their understanding of the design process, the development of their ideas and design projects.
A great opportunity for the students to develop their understanding of the different approaches and strategies for ‘reading’ and remodelling a building and how to apply them for their final project on Rehabilitating Buildings.
Some of the key visits included:
* Royal Palace
* ABC Centre New Drawing and Illustration Building
* Caxia Forum
* National Reina Sofia
* BD Madrid
* Matadero Madrid
* Medialab – Prado
