Architecture students and church team up to design community hub

The first and second year Architecture students completed the latest stage of their design project working with the All Saints Church in Truro. A public presentation and exhibition of the students work took place with the local press and the MP for Truro and Falmouth, Sarah Newton attending. The project is the culmination of a collaboration between Lilly Lewarne Architects, the church group and Falmouth University working on a tricky design challenge for the future expansion of the church to meet the needs of a rapidly growing congregation. The students presented drawings, models and ideas which they left with the church for the purpose of ongoing consultation. The project is developed as part of the Architecture Making Community strand of research which is looking into embedding meaningful consultation into the process of architectural design.
